In an attempt to attract and retain health professionals, the Gauteng Department of Health will today join the provincial youth month programme at Nasrec Expo Centre, Johannesburg.
The programme, which started last week Friday creates awareness amongst youth of the different career options they could pursue post matric. Today's focus will be on the health sector as well as available funding options – bursaries and learnerships.
This also contributes directly to the strategic direction of Government of reducing unemployment and poverty in the country. Services which will be offered today during the health summit include amongst others Medical male circumcision on site, HIV/AIDS: PASOP, distribution of condoms, contraceptives education and health promotion.
The media is invited to attend.
